Terms of Service

By visiting stardate.online, joining the waitlist, taking the free relationship test, or creating an account, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use StarDate.

StarDate is operated by Mikael Folkesson, a private individual, Hårdvallsgatan 7C, 417 39 Göteborg, Sweden. Contact: hello@stardate.online.

StarDate is for adults aged 18 or older. By using StarDate you confirm that you are at least 18, that any information you provide is accurate, and that using StarDate does not violate any law that applies to you.

StarDate is currently in a pre-launch, waitlist phase. You can take a free relationship profile test and join the waitlist for your country; matching, messaging and paid subscriptions are not yet open and will only become available once StarDate launches in your country.

We may change, suspend, delay the launch of, or discontinue any part of StarDate, including specific features or countries, at any time. We try to give reasonable notice of material changes but cannot guarantee a launch date.

When account creation opens, you will need to provide accurate registration information and are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Contact us immediately at hello@stardate.online if you suspect unauthorised use.

One person may hold only one account. You may not create an account on behalf of someone else, impersonate anyone, or use StarDate if you have previously been removed from it.

Some features may require a paid subscription once StarDate launches. Prices, billing frequency and included features are shown before you pay. Payments are processed by Stripe; StarDate does not store your full card details.

Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from Settings, effective at the end of the current billing period; cancelling does not refund amounts already charged for the current period.

Where mandatory consumer law gives you a right of withdrawal or refund, we honour it. Otherwise, fees already paid are non-refundable.

When using StarDate, you must not:

• Provide false information, fake photos, or impersonate another person.
• Harass, threaten, discriminate against, or abuse other members.
• Solicit money, gifts, cryptocurrency, or financial or payment information from another member.
• Post or send unlawful, sexually explicit, hateful, or spam content, or content involving minors.
• Use StarDate for commercial promotion, recruitment, or solicitation unrelated to dating.
• Scrape, reverse-engineer, or use automated means to access or extract data from StarDate.
• Circumvent moderation, safety checks, blocks, or age and eligibility requirements.
• Use StarDate if you have previously been removed from it, or on behalf of someone who has.

You keep ownership of the photos, profile information, and messages you post ("your content"). By posting it, you grant StarDate a licence to host, store, display and process it, including for safety checks, as needed to run the service. You confirm you have the right to post your content and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.

We may remove content or refuse to publish it if it breaches these Terms, our Safety Center guidance, or applicable law.

Members can report or block other profiles and messages; our moderation team reviews reports and may warn, restrict, suspend, or permanently remove an account that breaches these Terms. You can appeal a moderation decision made against your own account from Settings.

We may suspend or terminate access to StarDate, with or without notice, for conduct we reasonably believe is unlawful, unsafe, fraudulent, or harmful to other members or the service.

StarDate's astrology-based compatibility scores and relationship profile are provided for entertainment and self-reflection. They are not professional advice and do not guarantee compatibility, a successful relationship, or the accuracy of another member's identity, intentions, or information.

You interact with other members at your own risk. Please follow the guidance in our Safety Center, particularly around meeting in person and never sending money to someone you met on StarDate.

To the extent permitted by law, StarDate is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, and Mikael Folkesson is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service or from the conduct of other members.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under Swedish or EU consumer-protection law, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

These Terms are governed by Swedish law. If you are a consumer resident in the EU, mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence may also apply, and disputes can be submitted to the EU's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

We aim to resolve complaints directly — please contact us first at hello@stardate.online before pursuing other remedies.

We may update these Terms as StarDate changes, particularly as paid subscriptions and full matching become available. Material changes will be communicated where appropriate, and the current version and effective date will remain available on this page.
